The American Breast Cancer Foundation (ABCF) is a national nonprofit dedicated to making breast cancer screening and diagnostics accessible to all. We work to reduce financial and systemic barriers by providing support through our Breast Cancer Assistance, Education & Patient Advocacy, and Community Partner Programs—meeting people where they are and ensuring no one is left behind.

Rooted in prevention and early detection, ABCF ensures individuals have the support and resources they need to take charge of their breast health, which is why we’re going beyond breast cancer awareness and stepping into action. The introduction of technology that aids in breast cancer detection, especially in dense breasts, is of the utmost importance. Breast CT was developed to address the well documented limitations of compressional breast mammography in that regard, including the elimination of painful compression and moving the imaging acquisition from a conventional 2-dimensional image to a true isotropic 3-dimensional representation of the breast at the same radiation dose levels as mammography.
